Establishing the client’s design brief, virtual or in person meeting looks to confirm the design scope, client’s requirements, budget and time scales. A written design brief and proposed fees is then shared with the client.

A full topographical survey of the entire site will be carried out and a digital base plan produced from this. This with the site photos and analysis will form the basis of the design process and ensures accuracy throughout.

This initial stage aims to produce an overall layout plan for the entire plot detailing and designing the use and purpose to each area. We tend to produce this for larger plots with a view to then expanding on detail in the design proposal below.

As the starting point for a more comprehensive design scheme this stage see the design process started in earnest. Usually taking around 4 weeks we fully explore all concepts leading to the final scaled design proposal drawings for presentation face to face. This is usually supported by perspective sketches, section elevation drawings and mood-board style images as required.

Beyond the design proposal, the next stages are then aimed to help with the delivery of the final garden as close to our initial concept as possible. Whilst we can’t offer to build the gardens ourselves, we have a small group of very trusted and capable contractors we would love to recommend you use. We are also more than happy to work alongside your own chosen builder.
